Kerry On the Spot

My friend Casey left today. She’s the one in the center - I’m on the left and Lisa (of The Blozulfog) is on the right. Casey is moving to Arizona, along with her hubs and 2 kiddos. Her daughter is one of my daughter’s dearest friends, and our boys are really great buddies too. We said our “real” goodbye last night. I felt like vomiting a few times. I came home and completely crashed.

We met when our girls were about 6 weeks old. Our boys were doing soccer for 3 year-olds thorugh the local parks and rec department. 3-year-old soccer, now THAT was an experience! Anyway, I remember thinking, “She’s so cheery and skinny… She’ll never like me.” How high school is that? Nearly 6 years later who knew she’d grow to be one of my dearest friends on the whole earth of people?

Excuse me if your computer starts sparks, it’s just an electric fire cause by my tears.

I’m gonna miss you, friend… but I am comforted by the fact our friendship runs deeper than the miles between us run long. What a blessing you have been to me… what a blessing your family has been to mine.

Just as I might have signed your yearbook in high school… Casey - you are: 2 sweet + 2 be = 4gotten. I’m so 80’s…

Now, as you make new friends over there (I know you will, ’cause you are so dang loveable!)… remember me, and know I can get a little jealous. No one better take my place.
